We wear “Wild” as a badge of honor. To us, staying wild means tapping into an unbridled sense of wonder. And it’s the peace that’s found when you’re able to fully relax and sink into the ease of being your most authentic self. It’s creating memorable experiences for others and making people feel like they belong.

After a fire destroyed our original cabin, we have rebuilt Wild Juniper and are so excited to welcome you to the High Country of North Carolina. The premise behind Wild Cabins is simple. Leave as much of the surrounding property as untouched as possible. When you visit a Wild Cabin, we want you to be your most authentic self, and that goes for the land around our homes as well. We partner with other local small businesses and take great care to keep each one of our cabins as locally and ethically sourced as possible. You’ll feel right at home with all the recommendations you’ll receive to favorite local spots and seeing what guests discover while they explore the area. The end result is a warm, inviting, and possibility-filled space where friends and family can gather to make and create lasting memories. Join our mailing list to stay up-to-date on all things Wild.

MEET KATE

Kate Kryder is the owner of Wild Cabins. She’s also an artist, activist, and champion of locally-owned businesses.

Her mission and business plan are focused on shopping small, supporting other women-owned businesses, and enhancing community-level economies.

She believes in giving what you get and is constantly reminded that when you put love, kindness, and gratitude out into the world it comes back tenfold — especially when you need it the most.

Running a sustainable business is important to us. Every item in each of our cabins was choice fully selected. We know that when it comes to protecting our planet, the little things all add up to make a big impact.

That’s why you’ll find a lot of reusable and recyclable containers, compostable and biodegradable products, and reminders of how you can be more sustainable during your stay posted throughout our homes.

Did You Know

Sponges can cause a lot of waste in short-term rentals over time. So, we’ve selected 100% biodegradable and compostable sponges to be used on all our properties. Every little decision you make as a business owner helps make a greater impact globally.
